Dolls House and Puppets!

Let’s have some fun making some puppets!

There are lots of different ways you can make puppets:

  • You can use the resources below as templates to print and either draw your puppets or use the pre-made fairytale puppets.
  • You can create your own puppet using materials you have at home. This can be drawing a puppet or you can use plastic bottles at the body and create clothes to stick onto the puppet.
  • You can create a sock puppet! Use an old (but clean) sock and decorate the sock using materials you have at home. Don’t forget to add eyes and a mouth!

Now we have our puppets its time to find them a home.

Where will your puppets live? You might have a place for your puppets to live at home already such as :

  • A dolls house.
  • A car garage or play mat.
  • A toy castle.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a home for your puppets already you can easily make one. Here are some ideas of how you can make a home for your puppets:

  • Use building blocks/lego/duplo to create a house or castle.
  • If you have a train track you can create a small track including a little town for your puppets.
  • You can create a house using cardboard boxes.
  • You can draw different rooms of a house on paper.
  • You can build a den for your puppets- see family fun challenge here Addington School - Family Fun - Explorers - activity 12 (schooljotter2.com)

Now your puppets have a home it’s time to play!

What will your puppets do:

  • Your puppets might like a tea party or picnic with some of your other toys.
  • Your puppet might like to help you cook some food.
  • You can read a book with your puppet.
  • Your puppet might like to explore the new house you created for them!
