Don't forget to have a go at joining in with our call and response! You could follow along with a homemade drum if you like (a saucepan would work brilliantly!)

Using the COMMUNICATION BOARD attached below, can your child answer these questions?

1. What colour is the chicken?
2. Can you point to the bee, the frog, and the beetle?
3. What is the chicken doing on page 3?
4. What is the chicken doing on page 4?

CHALLENGE QUESTIONS

1. What is the chicken getting ready for?
2. How does the chicken feel when its friends don't help?
3. Why does the chicken let its friends come to the party in the end?
4. How do the chicken's friends feel on page 15?

Let's go shopping!

1. Download and print the SHOPPING KIT below
2. Cut out the items, money and price tags (or use real items and money) and set up a shop!
3. Make a shopping list by sticking the symbols to the list
4. Go shopping! Can your child find the items that are on the list? Can they pay using the right amount of money?
5. Take it in turns to be the shopkeeper and the shopper. Have fun!

For a real challenge, help your child to work out the correct change for their shop!
