Repeating Patterns
Start by printing out the repeating pattern activity below. Can you say decide which picture goes next in the patterns?
You can also practise this skill using toys in your home. Maybe make a pattern with coloured blocks e.g. red, yellow, red, yellow. Perhaps you can use cutlery to make a pattern e.g. spoon, fork, spoon fork. You can even make a pattern of movements e.g. clap, tap, clap, tap.
Can you decide what comes next in the pattern? Can you make a pattern for someone else in your house to keep going?

Big, Small and size ordering
Hello Everyone,
Begin by printing out the documents below. Begin with only the biggest and smallest pictures to give a clear difference.
Using the big and small symbols, can you find the Big pig and the smaller pig? Put them next to the correct symbol.
Is the pig big or small?
Is the wolf small or big?
Can you find all the big animals?
Can you find all the small animals?
You could also ask instructions to help with understanding by asking 'give me the big pig' or 'show me the small wolf.
If your child is really confident, can they now order the pictures from smallest to biggest? You might need to show them how to do this before letting them have a go themselves.
