Animal Homes

We all have a place to live whether it's a house or a flat. But where do animals live?

Watch the video listed below and find out where different animals live.

Now you can try to build an animal home yourself. Here are some ideas!  (you might want to try just one of them or maybe both, it is up to you)

Bubble wrap beehive craft

You will need:

  • beehive template (an adult can draw one)
  • bubble wrap
  • yellow paint
  • paint brush
  • black marker
  • glue
  • orange/brown paper

How to make your beehive craft:

  1. Use a paint brush to paint with yellow the bubbly side of the bubble wrap
  2. Press the bubble wrap, paint side down, onto beehive template
  3. Set aside to dry
  4. Cut a door shape from orange/brown paper and glue it to beehive. Then you can cut out the beehive you have made. Use a marker to add details.

Bird nest craft

You will need:

  • paper plate
  • shredded tissue paper
  • small sticks
  • scissors
  • glue

How to make your nest craft:

  • The shredded tissue paper needs to be glued onto the paper plate
  •  Then you can add the small sticks, as many as you want, through the shredded paper tissue to build the bird nest.
