Sensory Music Journey - Magic Carpet PART 2

Enjoy part two of this magical journey across the world. Here are some props you could use to make the sensory experience even more special:

  • Fabric/blankets/carpet to wave around while we fly through the air on our Magic Carpet.
  • When we arrive in Egypt, explore the following:
    • Listen to 'rattlesnakes'. Explore shakers (make a homemade one by putting dry rice in a jar or a bottle).
    • Encourage pupils to use these with maximum independence. Build anticipation through a gradual crescendo in volume.
    • If you have some, you could also explore a tray of sand. Can your child find some hidden objects in the sand?
  • When we arrive in Japan, explore the following:
    • Watch and feel cherry blossom fall (use tissue paper, flower petals or similar)
    • List to the relaxing sound of rice being sprinkled on different objects.

Each destination will last approximately two minutes in the video for you to enjoy exploring these sensory experiences. Have fun!
