Independent Challenge - Explorers - activity 6
Chalk Art
How will you use chalk to brighten up your outside space?
- Can you use your chalk for some mark making?
- What shapes can you draw?
- Can you draw a picture of your family?
- Can you draw a rainbow?
- What can you see outside? Can you draw some flowers and trees?
- Can you draw your own hopscotch?
Don’t worry if you don’t have chalk at home here are some alternatives:
- Water painting- use a paint brush with water on a dry area to create your art.
- Ice painting- put water into an ice cube tray (or any small pot) and add 2-3 drops of food colouring to each cube. If this doesn’t give the desired colour you can always add more. Then freeze these and once frozen you can use them for your drawings. You can add a lolly stick to each cube before you freeze them which can be used as a handle.
