Potato Printing
Why not have a go at printing your own designs using a potato?
Please be aware this activity requires the use of a knife to cut out the shapes.
To create the potato prints above please look at the step by step instructions below and have fun potato printing!
Cut a potato in half as smoothly as you can. This may need the supervision of an adult. If you have any cutters these work well. Push the cutter about halfway into the potato.
Carefully trim around the cutter. Again this may need adult supervision.
Don't go too deep, just half a cm or so.
Once your shape is cut out dry the potato on some paper towel or cloth as it contains a lot of water.
Now you're ready to paint your shape and start printing your design. If you don't have any cutters you can draw and cut out your own design like the star shape below.
