Information about dropping off and picking up from school

4 September 2020 (by admin (admin))

Please see information below which has been emailed to parents about dropping off and picking up from school.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your patience with drop off and pick up time. Despite several meetings with School transport they have been unable to accommodate our bubbles or our staggered start and finish times. This has led to congestion and waiting times.

Therefore, we have reviewed the procedures starting Monday 7th September:

  • for parents transporting children in their own cars the system will remain the same.

9.00am -3.15pm Bubbles 2, 4 and 5

9.15am -3.00pm Bubbles 1 and 3

  • For all pupils on transport the end of the school day will be 15am. This will prevent younger children having to wait on buses for older children to arrive. As school transport were not following the staggered times, this should not affect the time pupils arrive home.

  • The 9.00-9.15 times in the morning will remain the same but any young pupils waiting for a long time on buses will be brought into school by staff.

  • Parents arriving by car in the afternoon, must alert a staff member they have arrived so their child can be brought out. All staff are wearing red so they can be easily identified and will have a device with them to relay the information to the classroom

Again, we will review this arrangement at the end of next week. Please bear with us whilst we fine tune the safest system for everyone.

On a positive note, it was wonderful to see all the pupils back, some very excited and everything went as well as expected inside the school!

Kind Regards

Sara
