World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April 2019
2 April 2019 (by admin (admin))
This week is World Autism Awareness Week (1-7 April) and today is World Autism Awareness Day, which is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year.
It was instituted in 2007 to increase world awareness of the millions of autistic children in our world. The focus of World Autism Awareness Day 2019 is “Assistive Technologies, Active Participation”. Awareness day promotes the need to support and enhance the state of life of those with autism so that they can live life to the fullest. The staff in school are holding a sweepstake to raise money for the National Autistic Society. Please see our ASD Support Service page for links to further information about Autism Awareness Day.
